Hi, I am working on 1-d transient heat exchanger model simulation for domestic cooling cycles. I am ready with the overall heat transfer coefficient for the evaporator and solved for steady state using the regular LMTD method to find the length of the evaporator required. now i ned extend the analysis for transient condition that exist because of heat leakage, shut down and start up of compressor. How to proceed? which reference book or material gives me clear idea about this?

pls help me out. I have posted in Heat Exchanger topic but none replied so i am posting here also.
