Good Morning,

My name is Julio Enrique Terán, I work at Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador.

Currently for one of my classes, I am working on a excel spreadsheet to calculate a single effect and triple effect evaporator for NaOH-water system and systems without boiling point rise (BPR).

An enthalpy concentration diagram is required to obtain enthalpy data at a certain temperature and concentration. I am researching about the diagram and the source where it came from.

I cannot find the models that allow some authors to construct this diagram.

Does some one know where I can find these models? Once I get these models, I would share the community my spread sheets.

Best Regards,

Julio Terán

Hi .

Probably good to seek in Kern " Process Heat transfer" and Perry "Chemical Engineering Handbook" .

Note : You will find charts on Google and  then you will be able to establish correlation using xcel .

Good luck

Julio,

You can review the following articles:

Enthalpy-Concentration Chart Vapor Pressure Data, Haltenberger W., Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, Vol 36, No. 6, June, 1939, p. 783-786.

Thermophysical Properties of Aqueous NaOH-H2O at High Concentrations, Olsson J., et. al., International Journal of Thermophysics, Vol. 18, No. 3, 1997, p. 779-793.

I hope help you.

Napo.
