Morning guys,

Need advise regarding OP. I've been searching all nights for codes or reference stating the range of allowable % oversize sphere pig from pipeline ID. turned out to be a sad sad ending. i got some inquiry regarding inflating sphere pig for 24" PL that having a 22" ID. How much % increase of size actually allowable from the PL ID for safe operation.

Massduki88,

The recommendation of this supplier is: "2.5 With the aid of a sizing ring or diameter tape inflate to the required diameter. We recommend that the sphere is not inflated greater than two per cent larger than the inside diameter of the pipe. For meter prover sphere applications, not greater than five per cent."

I send you the information.

Napo.
