There are different methods of dew point control system such as
External Refrigeration
J-T valve and Low Temperature Separator system
Turbo-expander and Low Temperature Separator system
Our clients generally prefer propane or freon for external refrigeration. I would appreciate if any one can suggest as to what is the maximum possible hydrocarbon dew point achievable using these refrigerants.
I was reading from the below hyperlink
http://www.ipt.ntnu....ifikasjoner.pdf
At page 17 of the pdf, it suggested that very low hydrocarbon dew point is not achievable on J-T valve arrangement and very low hydrocarbon dew point is achievable when turbo-expander arrangement is used.
Can anyone explain the reason behind the above statement?
Also, if the above statement is true, what is the maximum possible hydrocarbon dew point achievable using J-T valve and Turbo-expander system?
