dear all 

 

i have some question regarding my senior design 

 

i would like to heat up a feed from 85 C to 260 C. i tried to use high pressure steam but i did not work. what is the alternative ways that i can use ???

 

second question, what is the last costing index  ??

Dear nalmakhmari2012,

you can not use steam for heating up from 85 degree C to 260 degree C because you have to use heating fluid temp. equal or larger than 260 degree C.

So you can use heat fluid transfer or hot gas.

Consider a direct fired heater. If overheating is a safety issue, then consider a salt bath heater.
