Dear visitors

Hello there, can I ask if anyone have any understanding on the temperature drop across the pipeline regarding the "pipe" selection on HYSYS in steady state modelling?

Warmest Regards!

Can you be more specific in your query with all necessary background?

When using Hysys for modelling a pipe segment, you need either define the ambiant temperature or heat loss.

The heat that transfers from the pipe and its atmosphere make a heat loss profil in Hysys.

Agree with Julien

It is obvious to consider heat loss according to heat balance equations defined in Hysys pipe segment or specify the ambient temperature and select the insulation thickness if exists.
