Dear Experts,

Kindy please advise the inlet pressure loss criteria for high viscous service?

We have viscous fluid viscosity around 15 Pa.s.

As we are aware that API states the inlet line pressure loss shall be less than 3% of set pressure.

Thanks and best regards,

Joko

Joko,

I don't think the criteria of 3% for presure loss in PSV inlet line is applicable for viscous fluid as well; but the corrected capacity based on relevant correction factor for vicous fluid has to be used in pressure loss calculation...

Thanks Mr Falah,

Do you know exact standard for max pressure loss inlet PSV for high viscous.

Dear All,

Is there any other input,?

Or would you please share the calculation of inlet PSV if the fluid is high viscous.

thanks in advance

Joko
