Morning,

I have simulated an existing oil pipeline network inside our plant and I found the flow inside two pipelines is in the transitional zone Re=2500 and another one is laminar flow. Is this considered a problem? Also, is this related to the minimum flow inside the pipeline.

To be honest, till now I do not know what are the criteria to determine the minimum flow in oil P/Ls.

Please help!

Hi Aamer,

Need some more information on what fluid, what flow velocities, any viscosity parameters.

Regards,

Shantanu
