Dear experts,
I am rating the fired heater which is composed of one cylindrical radiant section with vertical tubes and one convection section with horizontal tubes located on top of the radiant section.
The process load is preheated in the convection section before passing through the radiant section with twelve parallel passes.
A single pass secondary heat recovery coil is also present in the convection section which is different than process fluid.
I have following query while rating the fired heater.
1. How much tubes from the convection section to be considered as shield section / tubes? or any reference?
2. How length to diameter ratio will have impact on shield tubes.
3. If I have flame length - can i estimate will there be radiation in the shield tubes.
Few information height of heater (radiation section) is ~19 mtr and diameter is ~7 meter.
