All,

 

Changing the design pressure from 3.5 barg to 6 barg in the line list does not change the pipe that will be procured. It will be the same 150# carbon steel pipe.

 

The question, how about changing the PROCESS INSTRUMENT DATASHEET from 3.5 barg to 6 barg? Will I still get the same valve at same cost?

As far as i know the rating of process instruments is normally considered 300# as minimum. Then if so, appears you will be faced to no problem following mentioned change...for more accurate evaluation please review instrument data sheet for minimum rating and consider the possibility of temperature increment simultaneous with such design pressure increase...
