Hi all

I am working on a Reciprocating Compressor package handling hydrocarbon gas. The inboard distance piece is purged by nitrogen. I am not sure where to route my distance piece vent and drain connections, whether to Closed Drain System or Open Drain System. Closed Drain System operates at 0.2 barg and designed for 10 barg while the Open Drain System operates at atmospheric conditions. I have attached a snap shot of distance pieces. Let me know if any further details required.

Thanks in advance.

Distance piece vent should go to atmosphere in saif location and drain will go to catch pot and again vapor vent from catch pot go to atmosphere.
