Dear All,

Good day!

I performed a simulation and everything is done except a LNG Exchanger which is in temperature cross mode. I have 3 cold and 3 hot stream and cannot find the problem, Is there anybody to help me please?

If there is any way to do the calculation by hand, I would be also pleased to know that.

this problem has made me very nervous  :(  please help guys!

You obviously specified too many variables. Or the wrong variables.

There appears to be an error in the data. Instead of a smooth transition of temperatures there are temperatures that jump out of place. For example on the inlet temperature side and after the temperature of 17.09 C, the temperature drops to a temperature that is more negative than the outlet temperature. I suggest you plot out your temperatures in the future. .

Daneshpour,

The outlet temperature of pass 47-48 is hotter than the inlet temperature of any hot stream. This is not possible. Suggest you look more closely to the specifications you have given in your simulation. Something is not right.

Specify a positive minimum internal temperature approach. Specify a large number of zones. Leave the outlet conditions of all the streams on the cold side or all the streams on the hot side unspecified.

Dear daneshpour,

I may be able to help you with exchanger terminal condition for each exchanger in series with hand calculation. Please help me with HOT and COLD stream inlet & outlet temperature.
