Hi everybody,

during the process of fiber molding, I have observed something that I cannot explain, so far. The fiber molding in thermoformer is kind of a batch process, the molds, by the effect of vacuum suck fiber from a pulp tank during several seconds, until the weight of the mold is the desired (based on bone dry weight). After several batches, the extra pulp in the thermoformer tank is sent back to the tank where the pulp was prepared (tank A), and the forming tank of the thermoformer is filled again with pulp from Tank A.  After repeating this process several times, I have observed that the consistency, concentration, of the tank A is lower than the original consistency of the batch, so it is like the molds are catching the fibers but the water passing through the fiber cake is not passing in the same rate. Can anybody explain this? comments?

Thank you all
