Hello Everyone,

 

I have one query regarding calculating amount of Hydrazine dosing required in Boiler feed water.

 

I am preparing a calculation sheet were in the amount of hydrazine to be dosed can be calculated.

 

I have a reference calculation sheet, in that the amount of Hydrazine is calculated as:

 

Amount of Hydrazine required (ppm) = 30 * Oxygen to be removed(ppm)

 

Where 30 is " Depending upon the reaction kinetics 30 times hydrazine is required".

 

I am not able to find the basis for this 30 value. Can anyone help me in this topic?

Hydrazine is highly toxic and it's use has declined in recent times.
