I'm trying to simulate an Acid Gas Removal Unit. (the file is attached).

I have a little problem with my recycle op. It cannot converge! I tried changing the transfer Direction for the temperature and the flow but for vain !

Can someone please help me solve this problem?

Move the recycle block to stream 11. that might help. If not, open the loop and see what happens.

Thank you very much M.Bobby ^^ It did work. The stream of make-up Amine is, now, displayed in yellow color, 'cause some compositions are with negative value. (The temperature of that stream is still not calculated, or maybe I should set a value for it? ) ... Is that okey?

And could you please help me understand the difference between the both placements of the recycle bloc?

Thank you so much M. Bobby ^^

Well, you tear the stream at the best point. I am older and experienced, so I have learned these things. As for the amine make-up, you need to calculate how much is lost and add that amount. Same with the water. The best place to start is to break the loop with fixed values for water and amine. Look at the various streams. You will quickly see how things work. Good luck.
