Dear Members,

I a new member to this great engineering community. I am a graduate process engineer.

I would like to get some ideas about running HYSYS simulation.

I am doing pressure loss calculation from amine pump discharge line to an absorber column.  I want to determine what the pressure drop is from discharge pump to the column.

I have built my HYSYS model (included pipe length, fittings, valves and elevation change) , but I am still a bit confused to define the orifice plate in HYSYS. I want to know if adding orifice plate in HYSYS simulation is possible or not?

And if possible how to add it and what are the parameters needed to solve it?

can somebody assist me to work this out?

Thank you, :)

Please ignore this post. I have copied this query to Simulation Forum (as this question mainly related to HYSYS Simulation).

Apologize for posting in two different forum.
