Can anybody answer the attached question? My solution manual has obtained an answer that I think is incorrect.

for a ideal fluid (no composition dependence) you can define a function relating Ki with temperature,

 

f1 bubble point  ->  sum(zi*ki)

f2 dew point  -> sum (zi/ki)

 

for positive sign of function

below bubble f1 < 1 f2 > 1

between bubble and dew f1 > 1 f2 > 1

above dew f1 > 1 f2 < 1
