Hello,

We are designing a new power plant and we got some problems regarding the condenser vacuum system. How should i determine the suction flow rate to maintain the required condenser pressure 0,3bar(a) at flow rate of 29 t/h of steam ? Is there specific methods to determine suction flow rate or any averages that i should consider? Also the non condensables in condenser? how should i determine the flow rate of non condensables? Thank you.

Regarding non condensables there are guidelines and practical approaches.

One is the nomograph in standard HEI-2866 "Standards for Steam Jet Vacuum Systems"

Another one is available in the book "Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps, Compressors and Systems" by Helmut Bannwarth

Under the title "leak rate values in practice". It is available as an ebook for purchase in amazon or from google.

Or a reputable supplier can provide you with guidelines, like this one from GEA
