Hello all ,

I'm wondering if anyone have an idea how to design a separator that will be installed on a pit

after oil treatment unit for removing oil droplets from water ; the flow rate is 2 gallon/ min .

I have followed API 421 but it doesn't work for this small flow rate .

THANKS A LOT !

REGARDS !

We have installed same as above technology suggested by Breizh sir and are getting 60-70% near to perfect result.

As it is totally dependent on rotations and type of oil-water quantity and mixture. It is trial and error to size the perfect oil droplet separator.

Only one thing I would like to advise from my experience that keep the rotator hydraulically operated.Pneumatic air operated are noisy as well as demands more maintenance and frequent unit shutdown also occurs.

Thanks

Aditya
