Dear Sirs,
I'm process engineer, I have a question about steam recovery system.
In some projects, after steam is used for column reboiler , condensate is returned through condensate drum.
Please refer to case A in attached drawing.
In some projects, after steam is used for column reboiler, condensate is returned through steam trap.
Condensate recovery system including condensate drum is more complicated and expensive.
I'm not sure what advatages using condensate drum will have.
Please share any experience regarding advantages for using condensate drum and advise if we should use condensate drum
or trap is enough for recovering condensate after heat exchanger.
Best regards.
