I`m calculating if a termal relief valve is required at our gasoline pipes.

Pipes can be blocked and the were painted in a dark colour. The ambient temperatura can be around 40 ºC at summer.

Seems thermal relief valve is needed, but what about vapor developed inside pipes due to insolation. Boiling temperatue is low and easy to reach due to sun radiation. Is a thermal relief valve enough for this use or a vapor trap must be installed. If so, how can I calculate the one that is needed.

Thank you.

For sure, but not enough Budget right now to change color, thats the reason for thinking about relief valves...

Any experience on that?

Thank you breiz

I've done it, but is that termal relief valve enough to release pressure if evaporation takes place? Thats the point? A gas vent is needed?? Do I need to calculate the amount of flow that I need to release? How can I do that??
