I'm currently running a stripping column to separate naphtha and diesel but I always end up with diesel in my tops even if I operate a distillation column. Due to that I'm unable to meet the D86 endpoint for naphtha. Any suggestions on how can I reduce diesel going to the tops?

MissK4,

You can lower the reboiler temperature or the stripping steam flow.

You have not told us enough to help you. So you won't get any good advice, as you have already noted.

Thank you so much for the replies. I tried the suggestions and with design spec. I was able to meet the D86 endpoint but it drove my reboiler and condenser duty very high. Also the efficiency is a bit of a problem as it increases my duties even further.
