hi All, 

Can any one suggest the suitable seat material type (metal-metal or soft seat) for ball valves used in  natural gas service pipeline having issues of black powder(powder accumulated at valve trims/scrubber wall etc) ?

Hi,

 

Go for a metal-metal seat. Metal-Metal seating has now improved to the point where it nearly matches soft seat. One of the main advantages is that if you need to pig your pipeline, a metal-metal seat will remain relatively undamaged compared to soft seat.
