I am looking for information on the various methods of solving large, highly looped pipeline networks . I am familiar with the Hardy Cross method but, I am wondering what other reliable methods are used. What methods do simulation software such as PipeFlow, or Flarenet use? What are the advantages/disadvantages of these different methods? Any sources of information on this topic would be appreciated as well.

Thanks
