Hi, what's the meaning of sor &eor & Sor temperature ? The catalyst is Co_Mo(HR-506).
Why we have to sulfurized the catalyst that it's in oxide form?

Some sulfur is needed to activate the catalyst. In the very old days, we would simply allow the regular feed and its sulfur activate the catalyst, and rerun the off spec material produced during that time period. Today, there is a fancy procedure for sulfiding the catalyst before exposing the regular feed to it. SOR means start of run. EOR means end of run. A run is the period (6 mo.,12 mo., 24 mo., etc) during which feed is introduced before shutdown for catalyst regeneration or replacement.
