We are in Industrial manufacturing field.
One of our customer need to wash the component by using "Hydrocarbons Detergents".
Please let us know, what are all come under the category of Hydrocarbons Detergents? If possible please let us know the chemical composition.

To clean a chemical compound, first it is necessary to know what compound it is. Then a suitable solvent can be selected.

It may relate to the hydrophobic part of the detergent.
Check these snippets on the book "Handbook of Detergents" ¿There is any reason to avoid non-hydrocarbon detergent? I don't know what you make, where it is used, and what for.

It may also mean "a detergent that removes hydrocarbons"
Anyway, if is not something that will make you look unknowledgeable if you ask your client for clarification.
