Hello Everyone,

I am unsure about how to maintain pressure inside a reactor along with condenser and vacuum pump.

I knew that I should maintain vacuum inside condenser for free flow of steam and at the same time I should maintain pressure of 710 to 720 mmHg inside the reactor. Should I place another vacuum pump for the reactor in order to maintain pressure between 710 and 720 mmHg or is it enough of single vacuum pump attached to condenser(condenser is connected to the reactor) ?

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hi ,

Yes a single vacuum pump to transfer non condensable materials out of your system .

Take a look at the document attached .
