Dear All

I am trying to design a horizontal blender with helical impeller for solid mixing. I tried to look through literature but no specifics are given for "Horizontal" design part. Also tried to do it similar to a vertical vessel but I think it doesn't represent the actual because of trough sort of design, power coming to very less requirements while as suggested by vendor it is much higher.

I want to know the following

- Design calculation for Power, shaft

- Power number for different types of horizontal helical impeller (single helical, double helical, helical screw type)

- Margins to be considered for sizing of motor.

- water filled design or Powder density to be considered?

Request to give some guidance over it.
