Hello;

As parallel pumping operations together, what kind of condition comes out... I consider that friction increased becausew of doubled flow... But I am not sure totally...

What is your opinion??

Thanks

Hi,

It is obviously true that the friction losses will be increased since the velocity and fanning coefficient are added up. It means that the system curve meets the two- pumps curve at a higher flow rate and higher Head i.e. Two pumps can deliver the much flow rate but they should work on higher head to overcome the friction losses through the pipelines.

See the attached file for more clarification
