Hi,
I have a question about temperature drop through turboexpander. I have a gas (I think the most important composition is water 0.002 mole fraction). The gas enters the expander after separator at 32 c and throug the expander the pressure will be reduced from 20 bar to 2 bar resulting temperature drop from 32 c to -20 c.
The question is there any problem in this process, like is it possible to destroy the expander by sudden temperature drop to this low temperature (e.g water freezing in expander).
Your answer with explaination is highly appreciated.

It is unlikely that you could sustain an operation with this water content. What prompts your query?

Thank you Bobby for your response. I think the proper query will:
what is the best, cheapest and less complicated solution for this case?
