LSVR is heated by MP steam (14 KG/cm2 g) before being used as fuel in furnace. MP steam inlet line is not having automated control system at the inlet of heat exchanger. At the inlet there are one gate valve and one globe valve with blind and drain arrangement. At the downstream of heat exchanger there are steam traps in one operating and one standby mode. MP steam is in tube side and LSVR in shall side. LSVR Viscosity which can furnace burner handle is 20cst which can be achieved once LSVR temperature reached 160 degree C (thermocouple is provided on LSVR outlet).
Is it a good design or any change is required in MP steam control?
Kindly reply.
