In crude preheat train out of parallel and series which type of heat exchanger network gives maximum efficiency and why ..please explain this

Usually, crude preheaters are in series to recover the energy from the heating sources with different temperature.

Crude exchanger optimization models will usually converge on a design that includes splitting the crude twice with the split ratios defined.
