Dear all,

       Following is System description:

Centrifugal Pump system P&ID

Observation:

Case -1 Pump suction line (starting from upstream of DP & strainer ) main isolation valve -Pipe line class same as discharge line.

Case -2 Pump Minimum recirculation line (  Starting from NRV including Flow control valve of Min. Recirc. line - Pipe Line class same as discharge line.

Query:

1) In both above cases ,why it is not considered pipe class same as suction line Pipe class ( lower rating)?

2) In above case no.2- Why Pipe rating has considered upto NRV ? Why not upto FLow control valve upstream?

Your advise / guidance on this subject would be highly appreciated.

Regards,

SPC
