I am designing an ion exchanger for deionization of water for water is a feed to boiler. About two things I need help.
1. Design (calculation ) of ion exchanger
=I have studied two books " Ion Exchange Resins" and " Ion Exchange in Analytical Chemistry" from these books i got know how of ion exchange chemistry but now i need design calculation
It will be a great help if you can reffer any book
2. What are standards for boiler feed water...

Try searching google next time. This is the first hit.

As for standards in boiler water, avoid scale. Talk to your superiors. Search standards.

Unless this is extremely preliminary, the best approach to solving your problems is by discussing them with your suppliers. Talk to the vendor or potential vendor(s) of your boilers to see what they recommend regarding water quality. Get a reality check on their responses by discussing with persons in your organization who are knowledgable in boiler operations or check with an outside water treatment consultant.
I think your "design" of an ion exchange unit is more a matter of the resin's capacity for absorbing ions from the supply water you are treating. Here, I would talk to potential resin suppliers about the ability of their resins to deionize your water.

The website I have mentioned is only as good as you let it be. Be careful and treat it objectively. Never rely on a single source especially from those who are trying to sell you something.
