Dear Art,

I was going through the crane fluid flow problems which you compiled in excel format. Its a great thing to know about hydraulics. the only problem i faced was that is in British/ American unit . As I am educated in metric unit it sometimes gives problem. Is their any metric equivalent of it ?

Ayan:

No, there is no IS (International System) version of my Crane Problems workbook. You should be able to easily convert the USA Customary units to IS units. An excellent units conversion program like "Uconeer" is available for free on the Internet and is made for this purpose
.

Very important point. Conversion of units should be NO PROBLEM for any engineer. You must master this aspect of typical engineering calculations - you'll see it often.
