Dear All,
I need a calculation to find the temperature of the output stream of the hot water mixer.
There are two streams input to a mixer
1st stream (water) input temp =90 Deg C . Flow rate =30 m3/hr
2 nd stream(water) input temp=140 Deg C Flow rate = 40 m3/hr.
Please give me the output temp from the mixer.
With regards,
Stu

It's really not a big deal. it is simple enthalpy balance.

90*30 + 140*40 = x*70 (taken ref. temp as 0°C)

solve the equation, x will be outlet temp.
