Hi. Is there any way to find out the flow rate for any respective piping based on control valve opening? If i can able to plot a graph to shown the flow rate, I can save on the flow meter installation, right? Please advise. Thanks!

I am aware that student life and doing something at Uni usually means limited resources, but your idea does not sound sensible. Installing a flowmeter is the only way to determine the flowrate accurately. Even if in you application you can accept big errors, it would be very risky relying on flowrate characterisic vs. valve opening - for the same valve opening the flowrate will significantly change if you have fluctuation of fluid properties (e.g. viscosity, density, which can occur if temperature changes) - this can be resolved by installing appropriate flowmeter, which have temperature correction or are capable to operate in some viscosity and density range (---> Coriolis type).
