Hi

I am looking for good practical books to invest on.
The two areas are:

1. Control Valves and
2. Safety Relief Valves

I would appreciate any suggestion on these topics.

Regards

WAA15:

I don't believe that the conventional text books are effective in giving you the detailed and specific information on what you are looking for.

For Control Valves, you don't need to spend any money. You can download the Classic book on CV from Fisher Controls (Emerson) at:
http://www.emersonprocess.com/fisher/products/documentation.html

And for information on Pressure Relief Valves, you should obtain and study 3 basic documents:
1) API 520 part I;
2) API 520 part II; &
3) API 521

Even if you go ahead and invest in conventional text books (which is even better), you will still need to have what I have outlined above. So, I would go and directly obtain the Fisher Information for Free and invest in the API documentation. All this information is readily available through the Internet.
