I'm doing a project on gasifier design of a Silvagas (bettelle) indirect heating circulating fluidized bed gasifer. The gasification is run on steam as oxidant and the empty fruit bunch as biomass feedstock.
The problem i face is the difficulty in determining the reaction rate and product gas conversion.
1) The design of a gasifier should assume the conversion attributed by the equilibrium or the reaction rate kinetics?
2) Is there any information on the reaction rate kinetics?
3) How to simulate the gasification in Aspen Plus?
Thank you!!
