Dear Hazmee:

As you look at the information of feed stream of column T-102, you will find the there is liquid phase and Aqueous Phase in it. It means the stream will have 4 phases: vapor phase, liquid phase, aqueous phase, solid phase. This can't be solved in normal distillation column in Hysys. Two things need to be confirmed:

1. Thermal dynamic method is correct or not, Uniquac-ideal is proper or not for the system. Binary coeff is correctly specified or not.(This is very important for simulation)

2. The pressure at VLV-100 discharge should be confirmed, it is correct or not, VLV-100 discharge pressure decides that the liquid phase & aqueous phase occurs or not. Higher value will prevent it occurring.

P.Wang
