Given an isopropanol/ water system experiences a minimum boiling azeotroe at 82.3 centigrade. Using just the azeotropic temperature we are asked to procure a calculated equilibrium curve for the system at 1 and 2 ATM. At the azeotropic temperature i calculated the vapor activity coefficients using vapor presure calculated using the Antoine Equation. In an example of an ethanol water system the instructor had calculated the binary interaction coefficients for use with Van Laar's equation, but his liquid composition values were taken from the azeotropic composition which are .956 and .044. Im at a loss as how to approach this. Is it possible to calculate the binary interaction coefficients at any composition between the IP/Water system or just around the azeotrope?
