Hi All ,

Normally hydrate formation occurs with Methane & some other gases depending on the pressure , Temperature & Composition
Hydrate formation also takes place with i-Butane , i-Pentane , Neo hexane ( high MW hydrocarbons ) .
Now my question is At high pressures if these i-Butane & neohexane present in liquid form , will the hydrate still form ? , In other words I am asking will Hydrate formation occurs with liquid Hydrocarbons ?

Thank you rolleyes.gif

Dear Hello/Good Morning
Usually this is observed to take place in case of LPG as well;which is nothing but a mixture of many components definitely including those mentioned by you.
