Mishra,

What you are looking for can be found in GPSA Engineering Databook, Volume I. In my 11th edition, 1998, Section 6 - Storage, at page 6-18 can be found "Partial Volumes of storage tanks". You can find both calculation formulas and tables.

Through the years I have been on these Forums, I have posted and distributed many, many Excel Workbooks dealing with many engineering subjects and calculations. One of these is the need to calculate the partial volumes of cylindrical vessels in order to be able to identify instrumentation locations and identify liquid inventory.

Why can't adult, mature, professional engineers use their ingenuity and employ the convenient SEARCH engine that we have for our Forums? I am getting very tired of writing and re-writing replies to all the requests of new members who won't use or refuse to use the SEARCH feature.

This is absolutely the LAST TIME I WILL POST THIS MESSAGE. Go to:

http://www.cheresour...x...c=1557&st=0

Read the thread and download the .zip file you find there. It will solve just about every one of your vessel partial volume problems.
