Hi! We're having quite a difficult time choosing a topic for our plant design. Here are some of our plans: 1) We would like to extract something from an inexpensive raw material then produce something that would give us maximum profit. We also would like to earn from the by-product thus minimizing waste and increasing revenues. However it seems that all resources have already been exhausted (i.e. coconut, corn, sugar cane) and there's nothing left for us to extract.
2) Since we were not sure with our 1st topic, we dared to venture into polymers. We are now researching if we can decompose plastic and turn it into another product (which is not plastic).Ü
In your opinion, which topic is the most feasible and profitable? If none of the topics above interest you, could you give us sound advice of what industry should we venture into? I would really appreciate your help. Thanks and God Bless.

Hi
I have written 2 plant design in my study, which are:
1. Magnesium refining plant from sea water
2. Methyl Ethyl Ketone plant
If i'm not mistaken there is a book that describe a lot of chemical process. I don't remember the title of the book, but i think it would help you to choose what kind of plant do you want.
good luck
