Dear all,

I would like to ask about something that you probably find very easy – please understand that engineering is not my background and that’s why I’m here (I'm a chemist).

My problem is as follows:
I have a heater (basically a piece if equipement) in an enclosed box (aluminum sheet thickness 1mm) of dimensions 1x1x1m. I managed to calculate the heat loss from the heater to be following: convection 100W and radiation 500W.
The system is purged with air at room temp (21degC) at a 2m^3 per hour ( theoretically air changed every 0.5h) and my question is what will be the temperature inside?
The box will radiate some of the heat to the outside - I tried using Q=UxAxdT but got some impossible results.

Thank you all in advance for any help with my problem.

Regards,
Chris
