Hi guys,

In my thesis i am working on a project which is targeted on simulating the manufacturing of cement clinker in Aspentech.
Where I get stuck right now are the heat capacities Aspentech uses for the solid clinker constituents (CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3). They differ from the heat capacities in the data sheet.
I adjusted the heat capacities in Aspen, but the area of validity in the data sheet reaches only to 1000°C, during the combustion process temperatures of more then 1400°C occur. Extrapolation leads to unsatisfying results. However, the heat capacity coefficients of the clinker are given and valid until 1500°C. Thus, i'd like to specify a new component called "clinker" (solid). The following data are given:

- Heat capacity coefficients (area of validity from 0°C to 1500 °C)
- Mole fractions of the clinker constituents (CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3)

I get stuck at the point where i have to determine "clinker" as a mixture of CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3; including the mole fractions. It's my first time working with Aspentech, so i hope somebody can help me.

thanks alot, sorry for spelling mistakes, but i'm a non-native speaker

Lukas
