I have 99.4 % bromine water mixture . I want 99.9 % purity. This mixture forms azeotrope at 98%.i was asked to keep top product compostion 97%bromine

Bottom product 99.9%

Is thiis correct?

No, your top and bottom compositions must be on the same side of the azeotrope, ie. either both above the azeotrope composition, or both below it. This is of course because the top product will tend towards the azeotrope composition itself.
