Dear Friends,
I am working on removal (adsorption) of heavymetal Cr(III) from its aqueous solution using natural granular adsorbent in a fixed bed column (up flow mode). I have following queries regarding further work,
1) What will be better for scale up operation, To use single column of higher diameter and length or to use small columns i series connected to each other.????
2) I guess if I used column in series, I might requires peristaltic pump before each column to pass effluent from one column to another. so overall cost may increase due to m ore no. of pumps.
I am operating column in up flow mode.
plz guide me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
