You should probably be more specific about your problem and include a description and/or sketch about the heat exchanger in question

Is there an existing heat exchanger that isn't performing like it is expected to?

Are you designing a new one?

My question is more of an open ended question. I want to know what are the most common steps to improve the coefficient of a heat exchanger.

Is it fouled?  Compare actual U to design U.  It may need cleaning.

1) increase velocity

2) decrease fouling

Hi Tarang .Suthar ,

Please create a new thread , it will be easy to follow .

Refer to Art's comments about centrifugal pump .

Multiple resources are available, your favorite search engine together with Cheresource's engine .

Key words : heat exchanger head loss shell side .

You should also consider the documents provided in this post .
