You need only to develop the specifications. Then let the equipment supplier design it.

Hi,

Cold box is nothing but a Brazed Aluminium Heat Plate Fin Heat Exchanger.

As Bobby rightly said, you need to develop a technical specification and the vendors will design the same for you.

Refer API 668 or ALPEMA standard for the same.

Regards

Hello to both of you and thank you for your response. Maybe, I did not epxress myself properly.

What I specifically I wanted to ask is how we start from the srcatch the design, which means how many LNG Heat exchangers we will use, how we will combine the different streams and generally its simulation.

You need to do some work to show. We have no idea what your process is.

You are basically asking to develop PFD of the new plant....This should have been team effort between your senior process people and technology provider for the new plant.Once PFD is developed, duty required for cold end exchangers along with process inlet conditions/required outlet conditions needs to be provided to specialized manufacturer/designers of cold box. They will do the remaining, however your company process department will have to be engaged with them.Kobelco,Japan is a well known manufacturer of such equipment.I hope this helps.
